![]() ![]() Insecure knots can be made secure by strapping the free ends to the fixed ends of the same rope, eg by wrapping twine around to bind them together. This "dumbed-down" version, as I called it in the previous paragraph, serves as a great introduction to the Bible for children. ![]() Once you read the Holy Bible cover to cover, you read some things that aren't always incredibly pleasant. This not-so-little book also skips over a lot of stuff that you probably wouldn't want your young child reading about yet, anyway. Present day, reading it alongside the KJV Bible, it made that translation of the Bible make more sense in places. For the age that I (probably, anyway) was (like, 5 or 6), this made the stories come to life. I remember reading this cover to cover once when way back when. For children, this is a really good book for them to read. It's a collection of re-written (and admittedly somewhat dumbed-down) stories from the recorded events in the Holy Bible. I was given this book by one of my Pastors when I was very young. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You can track your delivery by going to AusPost tracking and entering your tracking number - your Order Shipped email will contain this information for each parcel. ![]() The simple illustrations fit the story-straightfoward and literal. I should've asked my mom what dates were. It's a prime opportunity to learn about homonyms. So, with that in mind, I'd say that Amelia Bedelia books are much more successful when a child can read the book and discuss it with an adult. In fact, I can say, as I child, I was confused about the date cake (I didn't even know "dates" were a food until years later, ha!). This specific book in the series is a personal favorite-one I grew up with. There's not a whole lot I can add, but I'll mention my favorite aspects anyway.
