![]() ![]() I'm gonna give it 3 stars.Ĭlassic favorite for 3,4,5 year olds. ![]() Henley did a good job wording things for children, as well.Īs a side note (as ridiculous as it seems), I actually laughed out loud two or three times while reading, and multiple times because of the illustrations (Not because they're bad, but because they'd make great memes). This "dumbed-down" version, as I called it in the previous paragraph, serves as a great introduction to the Bible for children. ![]() Once you read the Holy Bible cover to cover, you read some things that aren't always incredibly pleasant. This not-so-little book also skips over a lot of stuff that you probably wouldn't want your young child reading about yet, anyway. Present day, reading it alongside the KJV Bible, it made that translation of the Bible make more sense in places. For the age that I (probably, anyway) was (like, 5 or 6), this made the stories come to life. I remember reading this cover to cover once when way back when. For children, this is a really good book for them to read. It's a collection of re-written (and admittedly somewhat dumbed-down) stories from the recorded events in the Holy Bible. I was given this book by one of my Pastors when I was very young. ![]()
